Saturday, the family and I went to see Char race in the Northeast Ohio Awana Regional Grand Prix (think Cub Scout Pinewood Derby). We started out the morning a little shaky because 3 of the .25 oz weights had fallen off either during racing at church, storage at church or transportation of the car home.
But, with some extra weights around, we were back up to 5 oz. For being her first year of racing, she did extremely well. Her time trial came in at 3.15s. She placed second in all three of her races. Not bad for a rookie driver. But, in the end, we all had a fun day and enjoyed the festivities.
